- Never share your API key, and do not post screenshots showing the full key.
- After a successful test, tap “Apply API settings”, otherwise the new settings will not take effect.
- Prefer the full model name shown in the provider's docs or console.
- Create an API key in Google AI Studio first.
- The free tier is fine for testing, but do not judge long-term cost from the free tier alone.
- If your local network cannot reach it, switch to a provider you can connect to directly.
